A very good book

Last Weekend we stayed in a bed and breakfast in Gainesville, so we could attend Phil's graduation.  While there I started reading Ten Fingers for God.  It is the biography of Dr. Paul Brand, author of Pain, The Gift Nobody Wants.  I found it so inspiring that on Amazon I bought the used copy you see here and am nearly finished.  I continue to find it an inspiring story and a good illustration of science and the scientific method as well.  I had originally thought it would be a great book to read to the grandchildren, but I suspect they would not find enough of it interesting, with Iain as a possible exception.  I still recommend it for Jeremy and Allie and plan to lend it to them when they next come.  What prompted me to write this entry today (Christmas Day 2013) is that I just finished the part that tells of a special Christmas they spend with Dr. Brand's missionary mother.  That incident is told on pages 217-220.  To anyone who reads this post, I recommend this book.  God has used Dr. Brand in some wonderful ways.

These videos are not really for the grandchildren.  They are my first efforts at preparing a video series that could be used to teach a small group.
